Patent and journal article on proton energy measurements

Dr Bart Vorselaars from the School of Mathematics and Physics and Prof Nigel Allinson from the School of Computer Science of the University of Lincoln have published their joint open access article OPTIma: simplifying calorimetry for proton computed tomography in high proton flux environments, and their patent Apparatus for determining energy of hadron particles, together with the OPTIma consortium. The results have also been presented at the Ion Imaging 2023 workshop in London. This fruitful collaboration started from the College of Science Research Showcase 2022 speed networking event.
